TransUnion has a database of over 27 million eviction records. Landlords benefit from quick access to records from nearly 700 sources for public criminal and eviction reports. And TransUnion research also indicates that prior evictions are highly predictive of future evictions.
When does an eviction come off your credit report?
You never know what they can do for you until you ask. In most states, an eviction will come off your credit report after seven years . If it doesn’t you can contact the Credit Reporting Agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act and file a protest. Or, you can pay off your debt or start paying it down.
